Delsbo – A living square

The project will renew the square area in Delsbo and make it a vibrant meeting place year-round. Through investments, events, and collaboration, the square becomes a central part of the community and is integrated with the new service center. The development focuses on brand, location, offerings, accessibility, and safety.

A vibrant square for the future of Delsbo – investments, collaboration, and development

The purpose of the project has been to strengthen Delsbo as a whole and make the square a natural meeting place year-round. Through collaboration, new events and activities have been created to promote community and development.

An annual wheel has been developed to coordinate activities and marketing in collaboration with various stakeholders in the Dellen region. The square has been developed with a stage, chess games, tables, and benches to become a lively and inviting place. An action plan with five focus areas has been formulated to ensure continued development of both the square and Delsbo. Additionally, a long-term collaboration and competence platform has been established to ensure that the work continues even after the project's end.

Within the project, tables with accompanying benches have been built, a permanent stage has been erected, and a chess game has been purchased. An information board has been developed according to a graphic profile, and an annual wheel with all activities and events has been designed. The work has also included strengthening the Delsbo brand, developing new events, and creating a collaboration platform where the project's steering group, focus groups, and property owner group participate. To ensure that the project meets the residents' needs, a citizen survey has been conducted, where residents have had the opportunity to provide feedback on completed initiatives and contribute their own ideas for future development.

PROJECT LEADER STEFAN ON THE IMPORTANCE OF LEADER SUPPORT

”Without Leader support, this would have been difficult to implement. Leader has been both our sounding board and our financing.”
