Fritidsbanken Ljusdal – Integration and movement

The project aims to spread awareness and inspire broad use of Fritidsbanken's offerings, with a particular focus on increasing public health in socioeconomically disadvantaged groups and areas. By creating meeting places for spontaneous sports and play, the project seeks to connect people who rarely meet and promote inclusion and counteract segregation. The project also works to match individuals with community engagement and create a stronger sense of community in society. Within Ljusdal municipality, associations and schools gather to recruit participants and form a steering group. The project offers training in social sustainability, gender equality, nutrition and health, as well as sports for youth leaders with a focus on parasports and disabilities. Additionally, students at Slottegymnasiet are given the opportunity to obtain internships or summer jobs and are trained as mentors within the project.
